Dubai's history museum in the old houses by the Creek.

from18 AED
Al Shindagha is the historic quarter on Dubai Creek where the city began: coral houses of the ruling family, barjeel wind towers and lanes once walked by pearl divers. Today it's a museum complex where each house takes a theme — the Creek's history, the pearl trade, traditional medicine, perfume and Emirati cuisine. ✨ What to expect
The limited-house ticket covers the main houses on the route — enough to grasp in ninety minutes how a fishing village became a megacity. Displays are modern and multimedia with English captions, so it works without a guide. It's one of the most affordable tickets and the best contrast to the skyscrapers: pair it the same day with the Dubai Frame or an abra ride across the Creek. The quarter is pedestrian, with Deira's traditional souks nearby.
